There’s a lot for us to process today. There are a lot of feelings. Shared feelings. Opposing feelings. Social media is awash with people celebrating and it’s also awash with people mourning deeply. And here’s the honest truth in all of this, I don’t know how to process all of the feelings I’m having personally. They’re overwhelming. How do I, in the midst of my own confusion, come alongside the people around me who are also processing? How can I explain the feelings I have that are in opposition to the feelings some of them are having? How can I care for people and commiserate when our feelings are the same? I think for myself, all I can do is be available. I don’t know if it will help, I don’t know what it will look like.   It’s been over a year in the making, but Olive’s flamingo tattoo is finally done. Feels good to get new ink again! I wanted to take a minute to explain the tattoo. Some of you might not know but Olive went through a really hard year a while ago with her skin and eczema. She was bed ridden for a long while, had open sores all over her legs, and was just miserable. Praise God for His faithfulness, the team of Doctors who knew just how to help and the medicine she’d need, and everyone who prayed, she’s going on a year of being a happy, healthy little girl. During her time being sick she had the opportunity to go on a 2nd grade, end of year field trip to the zoo. We knew she’d have just started her medication by then, but didn’t know how she’d be physically. But we paid for the trip and just prayed she’d be able to go. By the time the field trip came around she was finally doing much better and was able to go and when she came back the first thing she talked about was seeing the flam...
